Anyone have an idea of....
« on: July 20, 2009, 08:14:01 pm »
Just wondered if anyone had a rough idea what weight a 400L system with ally frame and a 1 man set up would weigh ? couple of poles, trad kit.

Am looking into vehicles and have thought about something with a little character to it like a MK1 VW caddy

Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Including yourself and maybe a passenger you will need to allow 600kgs. This is probably the carrying capacity a MK1 caddy (nice choice ;D), cant be sure though. An alluminium frame wont be much good in a crash though.

780 - 800 ive found out from the caddy forum.

Could do with a 3 seater for the 2 nippers, so am asking about that once my account is validated.

They do have some character about them dont they. A guy i used to work with had one, thats what got me thinking.

If it works its a choice of a mk1 caddy or a scudo... know which one i would prefer

700kg for a caddy?? you sure. I'd double check that one out. I got a 400l system in a combo 2000 with a 1300 diesel cos all up capacity is 743kg
