What like when i tripped backwards over a plant pot a few days ago - kept the pole in my hands, went into half a rolly polly so my legs were pointing skywards, rolled back down, stood up and carried on working as if nothing had happened?

I drove 60 miles with the van doors open yesterday  ::) They must have swung half shut at some point - just enough to catch. Then there was the day I drove away with the extension lead of my charger wrapped around the tow hitch. The night I left my superlight pole sticking out of someones hedge. The day I forgot the tank cap was off.
Or the day a connector blew whilst on a lunch break and gallons and gallons of pure flooded the cab in the van and wrecked the sponge floor. I could go on and on ........

Ive done the old trick of not puttting the lid back on tank in van and also the not disconnecting the extension lead, but the worst was not securing the ladders and seeing all the other drivers face as i turned left at trafic lights and they flew off.

 :o :o   ::)

Ive only forgotten to tie them on the once, i must have only been going 10mph a few yards up the road, instantly knew something was up from the rattling, before i realised i stuck my foot on the brake - DOH! slid down onto the bonnet - lucky there was no denting, just a slight scratch.

I've done quite a few of those things.  Something that happens a fair bit is starting to drive off with the side door open.  Hastliy rectified by braking hard to close it (ensuring no traffic behind of course).

All of the above for me!!

Was working years ago and forgot to tie ladders on the old mk3 Cortina( Thats how long ago it was!) . Came up to the main roundabout in Poole, put the brakes on and watched in a sort of "Delboy moment" as 3 sets of ladders slid down the windscreen and bonnet into the road!

I drove 8 miles to a job and then remembered I had left my cup of coffee on the rear step of the pickup, it was still there when I arrived at the job. :)

Lost my ladder mats. Didn't know where, so thought I wouldn't see them again. 8 weeks later, found them in my customer's garden where I had obviously left them.

Also forgot to secure ladders. Everything was fine, until I braked sharply...  :-[

Left my bucket at home and only realised when I got halfway to the first job of the day.

Ah, fun, fun, fun!  ;D

Did the wrong house, climbed over the side gate to meet the naturist owner who was "tackle-out" in nothing but a panama hat and open toed sandals and pruning his roses.
It's a game of three halves!

When I was trad ( 5 years ago now!)

On a flat roof, doing a landing window, this young lad walks towards the window, with nothing on, sees me at the last minute and jumps into the airing cupboard!!

God knows how he got in there (it was full of boiler and towels) but he did and he managed to shut the door. I bet his a~#e was as red as his face when he came out.

Trust me though - the only time i've seen someone naked and it wasn't the right sex!!!!
