What would you recommend ?

I've got some Hydramster blitz but it does't say safe for wool so i've only used it on trashed polyprops.

Cheers

I have used one step premium and added citus boost with some promising results before.

withthis in mind i know that premium is meant as a pre spray for syn but had a pretty bad wool carpet few weeks ago and custy just told me to do what i thought was best as if they were not happy they would just replace.

I've used Powerburst before on a trashed wool - just make sure you acid rinse afterwards, Fibre & fabric, Clearwater Rinse etc;

Hi Paul,

Same as as Steve have used powerburst and other harsher non-woolsafe products including ultrapac renovate with acid rinse after with great results, normally find prespray gold sprayed down hot, agitate if really bad then flush with hot acid rinse will surfice though.

Remember that wool carpets are prone to staining and wear from heavy soiling so if very bad results will be limited. Pre qualify restricted results before commencing job especially with light coloured carpets.

All the best,
Jason.

On trashed wool I use either blitz or powerburst, hell I've even used Champion. Always acid rinse to death afterwards though.

However tbh the only ever real trashed wool carpets I come across are the ones in pubs / clubs etc... where the carpet has blacktop and is full of vomit, stale alcohol, food etc.

There's no substitute for the above chemicals on this kind of carpet.

Trashed with what? is it a home or a business? heavily soiled or spilled drinks?

One product doesn't fit all.

Long dwell with plenty of m-power, then HD microsplitter at 1:25, agitated to hell and extracted really well, little bit of acid rinse.  Works for me :)

Sometimes use ultimate master in-tank, at half strength though.  I think that can make or break it in some instances.  Don't like using UM very much if I can get away with it though, apart from leaving it behind in the carpet it eats pumps for breakfast :-\

Your'e right on that one Jim. When I was using Ultimate Master I was changing pumps regularly. Since I stopped using it I have never had any pump trouble.
A good powder I still have to admit and I often thought of spraying down a solution of it from an ordinary pump up sprayer to see how it would work on heavily soiled carpets, never got round to doing it, but no way will I ever run UM through a pump again.
