Both my zero sections for the supalite have split,

I need replacements rapid, where can I get them from ?

Gardeners are out of stock and they are not due in for a while.

Dave,only thing i can suggest is nip to a fishing tackle shop and take the next section that it fits in to and see what you can get to fit

is it the brush head small section part?

I would suggest the same thing, get along to a tackle shops and ask to see their poles.

Not sure what you mean by zero. Is the small bit that connects section 1 to the goose neck? If so, I would be tempted to try wrapping a few layers of duck tape around it

I would but then you have to glue the thread piece etc, i need something off the shelf, i have a million and one things to do without diy'ing bits and pieces for work.

But maybe I am going to have to though.

Yes it is the tiny section, they hacve split lengthways away from the threaded insert, hence the gooseneck falling from a great height

we currently have duck tape, but it has some hard work coming up so want a permanent fix.

If things go wrong with the staff, i have to travel to patch them back up again, just like i had to on monday morning at 6.00am when i got the call

i take it, it had got a wack onto the glass?

the threaded piece is probably glued into place on the sl anyway (dont shoot me if im wrong ), so if you do it yourself it will prob only take 10 mins to DIY.

Patched the poles up.

I noticed a week ago tiny cracks appearing around the threaded section, looks like it was just fatigue, my supalites are used more or less everyday, so they do get some use.

how do you get on with the sl2 dave with employees? mine have snapped the no.1 section and i need to order a new one. :

i have now banned them from using it unless real high work. think i've gone through 5 replacement sections in 10 months

Dave, you could try a whipping like they use to hold fishing rod rings. A whipping using nylon thread, fishing line would do, coat the thread with Araldite and it should be like new.

so far 9 snapped sections, we usually slide them through each other with some glue and tape then they last a little while longer.

Even thought they get snapped etc i  reckon it is still more cost effective than using extel at a similar height because of the speed and ease of use issues.

the pole is second to none for its uses and speed but it upsets my day when a snapped section comes back to me so unless its on some big commercials its staying in the lock up!

A metal band/ring round all the female sections would make the pole a lot more durable.
Perhaps something that Alex could take on board, well worth paying a bit extra for.

my uncle has started making mega lite poles, i would imagine when he starts selling them, there will be alot sold.
