I've got to the stage where I have outgrown my litttle Pug Partner van ( a little too quickly for my liking), and now I need something with more floor space, greater payload, and a tad more power.
I've owned a 2.5 T4 before, and never had any trouble with it, and liked the size.
But them T5's are not cheap !, but look lovely vans and would be my first choice if cost was not an issue.
Is the 104bhp T5 strong enough to handle 800 odd kilos on a daily basis on country hilly roads?
So, I've looking also at the Renault Traffic & Vauxhall / Nissan equivalents. They look similar to the T5 in floorspace, Payloads are good, and engines look strong enough to handle the weight - and they are selling for a lot less then the T5's.
Not having owned a Renault before.
Are they any good?
Whats the build quality like, and are the engines reliable?
My experience of VW is that they are lovely vehicles to drive, how do the Renaults compare?
I'm prepared to pay a bit more for a van, but need something thats going to last for at least 5 years.
I did consider leasing, but I'm not sure I'd really benefit from any tax savings, so I think I opt for buying outright, and running it until it becomes uneconomical to do so.
Sorry for so many questions, but would appreciate any folks experiences and opinions.
