I did a job to day, quite a big job. The customer at some point had spilt Red wine on the lounge 80/20 wool carpet, and then proceded to throw detergent on it (You know the score) Hence a big black mark. It took me ages to rince out the soap residue, having to stop start and then force dry out, in fact i couldnt get it all out

I have told the customer that if it resoils i will go and do it again F.O.C

I know of one way to help remove it, but, you shouldnt do it :

Try an acid rinse, it funny how things work when I get foaming in the tank I use soap!

On my dinner break mate, how's things up there?

All you have to do mate is to get Liquid Defoamer some thing like S760 put it straight on to the problem area work it in, and then acid rinse out.

Once had a job that foamed so much, I had to prespray with Liquid Defoamer before i could begin to rinse.

That's what i did chris, but it went on and on    

Didnt want to overwet for obvious reasons, i have since been told neat white viniger and then rince out     I don't know if i would do that though, with a ph of 1

Ive never had to try this, but i was once told, that you could put salt in your tank for heavey amounts of foam,as i said ive never tryied it, but i think it would work

White vinegar would have a pH nearer 3 -4, you need conc.Hydrochloric, nitric etc to get 1 .

I did a ph test on it and it came up 1.  I have just done it again and got the same result

Care with white vinegar, only last week was cleaning a regular customer home while she was cleaning her windows; the smell was like a fish and chip shop I asked what she was using reply white vinegar my response pick the one without malt in it.

Are you sure you are getting pH1 with white vinegar(acetic acid) or is there some HCl in there?

Are you testing with papers , these have an error of at least 0.5.

i know its stupid , but white wine from the pas de calais region can work. must be the ingreients. but i dont vouch for it
