Boars hair brushes

In the US they seem to like boars hair brushes. Just wondered if anyone over here has tried them and what do you think?

Ive heard they clean very well but are quite heavy.

i heard that they are quite popular in the states for traditional window cleaning ,held in the hand

The bristles clean well, but having used one I would never use one again. Too heavy, bulky stock and they are hard work because the bristles seem to 'stick' to the glass.
