Hi all, been using viking sill brushes for the last year on both my poles and to be honest have no complaints, but i thought i would try somthing different and ordered the flocked and dual trim superlite brushes fromm Gardiners. The obvious advantages are they are much more accurate, lighter and quicker, but do u agree they are rubbish for wiping sills and about half the width to clean with, also i dont like the wide jets, i cant seem to make my mind up about them? any comments please!!!???

No criticism, each to their own. But how do you stand the weight of the vikan sill brush? Its immence!

I used vikan rectangular & always thought they were good untill I got the gardiner mono dual trim. The gardiner is in a total different league!! I hate jets too close to the centre, the gardiner ones are perfect for me. I don't clean sills, if the lower sills a that bad I'll wipe them with a cloth afterwards but that it. I would give them a bit more time than revert back to the brick!

Yeh i agree they are so much lighter that is a massive plus, but its just the width of them they seem a bit nothingy! and like i said useless for wiping top sills

IMO the jets are the perfect space apart your probobly just used to vikan-ionic brushes,if your after doing a good job on sills the flocked 1 is the brush to use.

I thought that too initially, not much there for ya money! Infact they clean really effectively & require less effort to do the same job. I had to re-train my brain not to press on so hard, it still seems unnatural to me to use so little pressure & get top results.

i wipe the bottom ones by hand anyway but the width and shape of the brushes flocked or mono just dont seem to able to wipe the top sills propery especially if the sills are wide. i dont no maybe ill get used to them, but at the min im debating as to if they clean as good and if ive wasted £68!! thanx guys

also guys off the topic slighty but its not very often i can get old skool aluminium patio doors left without runs and spots with wfp!?

Aluminium frames are a nightmare with WFP you can rinse for an hour and still get runs and spots.

Nah he just did not learn how to use them I still use them now for many jobs, I have the super lite duel and mono brushes which are great. Vikan are also good little heavy but good all the same.

Just swept my patio with a vikan brush and thats about all they are good for. Gardiners brushes ease the process of window cleaning.

if you scrim the top 4 inches, then wfp the rest, you wil never have this problem again

superlight great for lightness problem is then i find its just not enough
of a brush for me ive used mine for two months and its falling apart
very fragile and it losing bristles already on a daily basis.

problem ive got lazy since using the brush i would go back to my hi lo
brushes which are heavier.i must become a right tart since using sl
brush because i never noticed weight of sill brush before i mean
its hardly like having a brick on the end of your pole :

i thought gardiners were bringing a sill brush out if they do
i suspect i will be probably be happier in the middle ground with
brushes better cleaning ability but being lighter
