I need a bit of help with a quote, a suggestion on pricing maybe and how to present it.

It's a big public building on a high street, glass and frame front, with no back, and quite large office windows over three floors.It has to be done twice a year inside and out as part of the lease.

So who is prepared to advise?

Dear sirs,
My quote for cleaning the windows, both inside and out of the xxx building and including the frames and sills is £220.
 
The method I would use is water fed pole for the outsides (a hot purified water system with a 60ft reach from the ground) that complies with health and safety guidelines, and traditional methods inside.
 
Risk assessment. Outside is a pavement with a pedestrian area, so I would carry the work out when as few people as possible are about( a sunday morning if this could be arranged) and would put out warning cones.
 
No ladders will be used.
 
I look forward to hearing from soon you so that this can be arranged.

It was getting on my nerves not really knowing how to do it so i just did my best and tried to include a method statement and risk assesment.

You need to get out of the habit of signing your quotes off as Slumpy, its okay on here, but doesnt look that professional in business

I was gonna say - that isnt a risk assessment pal, get rid of that and if you get the quote  provide a proper risk assessment seperate, unless they have asked for one now, but do it seperate, and just put a list on one side of potential hazards, then how likely they are to happen, and then what you will do to manage them , simples

The job is twice a year.They just emailed, is this figure for both times. The blinkin things enormous, solid glass front over three storeys high, shaped a bit like a ships prow, a front and two sides coming off at an angle.

Many on here would have priced twice this, but i need the work. Any less and someone else can have it, six months has allowed a lot of bird muck to accumulate.

This will be my first commercial job. They seemed to think my email was okay, but in fact these people dispense legal and consumer advice, so if someone could post a relevant risk assesment and mission statement?

Mission statement:-

I will use a Makita 18v drill, attach to my reel & thus create the worlds first electric reel, which, of course has nylon bearings & goes by the name of red-rash. I will supply & probably use 3 x 1.3ah makita batteries. You will be glad to know that this is a very simple, yet very economic way in which to rewind upto 100m of small bore hose. Even my lad raves about it. People now stop me in the street with comments like- "hey, it's Mr. Makita, the electric reel man"! With wfp now becoming near impossible with manual reels for H&S reasons we fully comply with all regulations with our red-rash's.
You might also like to know that I've spent fooking thousands of pounds & hours developing this barrstarrd thing only to be looked upon as a joke & a freak of nature with a complete lack of enthusiasm from anyone else outside the confines of my shed! Barrstards the lot of 'em!
Anyway, I'll clean your windows with a big pole.
