I have always thought that being on a meter water is going to cost me ****loads...lol. The guy who sold me the ro unit has stated the following to me;

For info 1cubic metre water costs around 50p 1cubic metre is 1000litres=230gallons ish

So based on the fact that my little 100gpd is producing roughly 3:1 waste and I'm using 1000 pure litres per week at the moment (tops only) my cost should be 4000 litres per week at 50p per 1000 litres = £2 per week!!!!

This, and if its true seems remarkably cheap, and much better economy than I expected...................or have I got my maths wrong   I hope not  : :   lol

Have a look at your water bill it will say how much a cubic metre/1000l is somewhere. Also have to take in to consideration waste charge as well though.

im from surrey fieldsy and water is 87p a 1000l and 53p for a  1000l sewage/waste hope that helps...

Im on a water meter and i dont even deal with that bill, thats this missus's  LOL, she not said anything to me about how much its costing and i do about 500 ltrs a day maximum.

So it cant be all that expensive.

Whats even more interesting to know now, is that, we have one of those easy set up swimming pools which holds 19,000 litres................and i was anxious how much it was going to cost to fill it (takes 24 hours)...............about 19 quid sounds excellent to keep the kids happy all summer.......................................pity about the dead lawn underneath it, which will cost more to replace..........lol

It shows how much you will pay, remember you are charged for water in, and waste (sewerage), + standing charge!

dont bet on it if you cover more than one area, and also you pay the commecial charge for your water which is more that domestic. I have a big swimming pol I fill once a week and use the waste water for my ro so I still come under domestic
