« on: June 11, 2009, 12:50:05 pm »
I was just wondering which courses are best to go on ??
Extracta? NCCA? IICRC or Prochem

Its good you considering a course.

Where are you in the carpet cleaning life - have you been established long? or not?
Much experiance?

I have been on 1 day courses ie spot/stain treatment etc, a 2 day leather restoration, and 2 day NCCA course.

Certainly recommend the NCCA.

As a newcomer I would suggest you steer away from the IICRC course - they are very good and very detailed but do tend to veer towards the theory and technical side rather heavily. I suspect the NCCA course might be a little easier to cope with from a beginners point of view (respectfully)

Hi Joe and Ian

I have been full time for 7 months, that is the experience I have had! I just feel I need a bit more training and as you suggest the NCCA course is probably best. What about prochem??

Hi Andrew, I am just staring out and completed the NCCA couse in April - I found the course to be very useful.

Least you feel the need to have some more training which in the long run is good :)

Just takes time to pick up things and its hard to take everything in at once..

Andrew, I have not done the Prochem course so can only say what I have heard from others on here.

Good course, but product driven ie Prochem products.    Good thing?  Bad thing?  No problem either way?  Up to you.
