I have just tried wfp for the fisrt time and have a reading of 000 but the windows are drying with water spots. Is my technique wrong? Is it possible that the problem is the top seals of the windows being dirty? what can I do?

if ite the first clean with wfp on that house re do it if the clean before it was trad it will take 1 or 2 cleans to get rid of the residue

As its the 1st clean with wfp and as your doing the top frame the chances are your going to get spots, what I do is scrub all the frames and glass (especially top frame) do the whole house then do the house again but just do the glass, when cleaning the window clean side to side on the top of the glass then clean the rest of the glass up and down, then rinse with brush as close to the window starting at top of the glass (avoiding top frame) again side to side a couple of times then zig zag down the glass.

Concentrate on frames especially top, over-do them as much as possible. then do glass, rinse and rinse again. Repeat for all windows. Then (if neccassary) go back and do glass only without touching top of frames.

Some people say that it takes a few cleans to get it spot free, Thats rubbish!! It just needs to be done thoroughly. Remember, customers are most likely to inspect the first clean you do so it HAS TO BE RIGHT. once they are happy with the first clean they are more trusting that you have done a good job and wont bother inspecting in future cleans. You do a bad job at the start, they will inspect everytime (if they bother to keep you on)!
Just dont rush the job and take the time required. If you do this you will fly through the 2nd, 3rd, 4th clean

i had the same problem too .and still have it some time.i try as much as is possible to do the first clean trad ,doing all the frames especially the top one and  next time wfp.

Whit pvc double glazed with black seals, they have had two new windows installed and these were no problem at all. I just did some timber framed with aluminium between the glass and the timber and had no problems with wfp.
