I've finally got so fed up with my protecta balls catching on everything that in a moment of madness I cut them free 
Anyone else struggle with them?

Never have that problem, minibore plugs straight into the trigger. Saves a lot of hassle. Pole hose is on pole hose tidy. Keeps everything off the ground, and you can easily take the minibore around the corner.

I found the ball more stressful getting caught on stuff so mine only lasted a few hours.

I have found this as well, think i will just stick to the small ball on the pole hose!

I had my balls cut off for me yesterday; well, one yesterday and one seven years ago; flippin Testicular cancer twice. How unlucky is that 

I'll admit my balls weren't catching on things, apart from my ankles  and there must be an easier way to get a few days off work  : but looking on the bright side, even I can't manage to get it for a third time

Which form of cancer did you get - the young mans version or the older mans version?
I always understood the chances of teticular cancer returning were very remote. Did you have the radiotherapy after they lopped the first one off?

I didn't realise there were different forms for different ages; I'm 40, is that old or young 

I didn't need any other treatment after the operation last time, just regular scans and check ups for five years. That ended two years ago.

I was just unlucky this time around; it is rare to get it twice; I guess I must be special

I'm sure everything will turn out fine, and I've a holiday in Florida to look forward to in August; I can't wait

I had the same a few years ago. They lopped it off then gave me radiotherapy hence the interest in your post. There are two different kinds one is Seminoma I think but I can't remember the other. Don't suppose you were ever a printer too?

hope the cancer never comes back for both of you anywhere else, i know a few who've got the all clear, but they still have at the back of their mind  'will it come back'.

Last time i saw the specialist she was saying a high percentage of printers are diagnosed with cancer 
Maybe it's the ink or isopropanol or the other delightfull chemicals used over the years.

ftp, my mate was a colour matcher in the ink room for John Willmans/Coloroll for years.
there is this health shop in Burnley called Barlows, above that is like a alternative therapist, all natural stuff.  his misses went to see her for a mot syle thing, she had these probes plugged onto the toe nails and linked upto a machine, anyway helped her find the problem, it was candida i think, like to much of it. sorted her out.
so my mate was impressed and booked himself in for a cosultation, but he was still sceptical about all this natural remedies, so she likes to ask questions about your lifestyle, and he was not for saying anything, 'just do the test' he said.
he couldn't believe it, she told him exactly what chemicals he had been using because they were still in his blood  
thing is he's been window cleaning for 10yrs a this point, so maybe there is something to what that specialist told you ftp
i'm worried now... also my bro is still printing

same here, been doing it this way for over 2years, except i use micro.

extends the life of pole , and connectors, my 17ft excell is used 99% of the time , still going strong after 2 years, connectors last a lot longer, my present one is 1 year old and still no leaks, i do have a protecta ball on though , to protect it whilst reelin in

I have it exactly the same way daz.

I find that the most wear my pole got was from the pole hose carrying sand and grit in the pole on rainy days. Now, because the pole hose is permanently off the ground, no grit is carried up, so no sections seize up, no grinding noise of dirt, and the pole looks brilliant, and requires very little maintenance.
