The Royal looks good but it's a shame it doesn't go right up the edges.

Dyson build quality is crap but they are pretty good in use as long as you empty them often enough. Like the Kirby also but a bit heavy and I hate paper bags.

I could not agree more. No vacuum cleaner can be like a Dyson, which is why the suction drops on all bagless cleaners which are not Dyson. I am no fan of paper bags but then a bagless non-dyson cleaner is my worst nightmare to empty. We have used several Dyson uprights on our domestic jobs and they clean up like nothing else. They have lasted about a year each which was quite good given the amount of work they had to do. You can get Dysons new for around £150 and they have a 5 yr guarentee for normal domestic use. You can't argue with that really.

If its a tub vac you want, I would go for something by Numatic.

By the way, motor wattage is not the be-all and end-all, despite the fact that the world would have you beleive so  ::)

Agree with the last sentence which also applies to High PSI and CFM's. Size is'nt always what matters. It's expertise your tool's that get's the best result.  ;D

sebo bs36, built to last and the best selling commercial cleaner.
Dysons are not built to be carried in a van, just for nice placing in cupboards, good vac though, if maintained

Thanks all for taking time out to reply. Looks like the sebo is highly recommended. Where would be the best place to buy one?

Loads of places sell them new. I think Alltec still supply them or Cleansmart
