More importantly...have you got ANY sense of taste or style? ;D

If you really feel the need for farming, I think there's a few on here.
You could just look it up the net I expect  though.

i know 2 window cleaners who use this vehicle they carry a 350lt tank
and both have hard tops the reason they use them as its the cheapest
option they only have to run one vehicle , it is something i am considering myself

Marcus, I used to have the Nissan MD21 pickup. No hard top, but roofrack. It wasn't ideal but I could carry 1100 kg. I used it for pulling my caravan too but ze Gurmans changed the road tax laws so it was over 1300 quid road tax, (Used to be 170 quid before). It had to go, I'm trad and if I was in UK I would jump at the chance to run a 4x4 Nissan again, no probs. By the way, it was the double/crew cab.

Forgot to mention. I wanted more payload so I don't know if you can do this in UK, but here you fax or email Nissan and ask for the tech/spec docs. They send them by post to you and you take the vehicle to MOT and get the logbook spec changed. My pay load went from 950 to 1100 kg (about a ton) with no spec change, if you see what I mean.

Ive got a l200 and use it for work (trad and wfp backpack) family (enough room for the kids) caravan (fantastic pulling power) not as economical as a deisel car but its cheaper to run the l200 than run a van and a car.

Not everyone lives in a built-up town some of us actually live in beautiful contryside, you know the kind of place you townies come and visit. A 4x4 is actually a good choice for some.

I have a Ford ranger with a hard top.  A few pics of it in action on my website www.sherwoodcleaningservices.co.uk  I have a 650L custom tank with 2 reels in it.  The hard to will lower the overall payload.

All pick ups need to have a payload of at least 1050kg to qualify as a commercial.  I got one for the same reasons, didn't want to run 2 motors but in the end it's cheaper to run 2 than to use a 4x4 for family stuff.

Best pick ups in order Hilux, Navara, Ranger or Mazda, L200.  The Navara is a good one to aim for, strong vehicle but not way over priced.

Simon.

Get a lwb transporter, put a blacked out side window in a 2 extra seats, much more practical and economical than a tractor wagon, my dads a farmer and has an L200 for that reason, i have driven it and it is more suited to off road type terrain not motorways etc.

no, its not expensive. insured fully comp with wfp cover less than £350. will do 400 miles on a tank of diesel. should be serviced every 6 months though.
tank of diesel costs £300 ;)
