Money owing
« on: June 03, 2009, 04:23:40 pm »

Blimey I don't think I've ever been owed this much before. Custies who used to send a cheque almost by return are now taking weeks. I don't necessarily think it's because they've suddenly gone skint but I'm getting the impression that they're hanging onto it for as long as they can decently get away with. That or they've got more important things to worry about than remembering to pay the poor window cleaner ::)

I get embarrassed chasing people up but I need to start getting some money in for the taxman in July >:( >:( >:(

I am regulary owed a couple of thousand euro....it all comes in at some stage...same old names though...some annoy me so much and others don't...not so much to do with the prices but how they are with me.

But yeah very annoying..

Dave.

Oh I know I'll get it eventually but as I say I hate chasing up...especially when it's for the benefit of HMRC.

Exactly the same in the commercial side.
Its starting to do my head in, its becoming a full time job chasing money.
I think they're hanging on to it just in case they're lucky enough to have their window cleaning firm go bust.
We pay out once a month, so we want paying once a month. Is that SO hard to understand.

If I take every job into account, it can easily creep over a grand.  More typically though it's between £500 and £800.

i have noticed this aswell

a builder stopped me today and said " can you give me a miss this time " i said, yes, but can you pay me the last 2 cleans

he shrugged and said " i havent got it mate . i could bounce a cheque on you, but whats the point "  ::) ::) ::)

i then spotted a new ( ish ) BMW Z3 in white in the garage
