Unfortunate title I grant you......lol

I know I can get a small submersible caravan pump to pump the water from 25 l containers to back pack or pour it or siphon it.

What would you advise to pump the pure water from the 200litre water butt to the 25litre containers. Nothing to big. I'll probs just pop it in and take it out again once the containers are full....i.e won't leave it in as a permanent fixture. I suppose I could use the caravan pump with a looooooooooooooong 12v cable.

tap on the bottom and then raise the butt so that you can slide your containers underneath the tap.

I've thought about, but never done, a display stand at a car boot. You know some sort of counter, large signs and a few blown up pics.
It would be easy also to get one of those display windows and invite people to clean it with trad kit to add a bit of interest.

And of course displaying my master guild accreditation to show that i am a true professional and belong to the most reputable industry trade association that guarantees customers.

To be honest I didn't want to let it go for any less, I was supprised though that it was mostly the tat that sold well!!

I have thought of doing the same as you slumbuster with the display and have a go thing, just looking for a window to use.

Might be a good Idea to get one I guess.

Sunshine, you should have taken what was offered and cut your losses.You paid thirty, the retailer paid fifteen, the wholesaler eleven, which is it's cost price. Factor in that it is second hand and you overestimated it's value.

I have a 625 ltr ibc tank,

I bought a hippo sub pump from machine mart £45 i think, just got it recently as my other one was getting a bit noisy, don't bother getting one with float switch last one had this was more trouble than it was worth .

If this intrests you i'l dig out product code.

Don't fancy your chances of reeling wheelie bins, doormats, plantpots car tyres and other assortment of customers crap in at 30mph

Sorry for veering this off topic, it was simply the thread title that i found tempting. I was of course joking about the reel race and the trade bodies.

On the topic there was once a thread about netto selling something, i get things like this from the usual suppliers because they say they are fit for purpose and it saves me having to explore what they do.

My advice is stop trying to save money or bootstrap and buy the proper stuff.

Well it's value to me was at least £15. The car boot was an excersise for my boys to sell some stuff to raise money for a pair of new bikes, I took the pump not really wanting to sell it cheap but if I got £15 I would be happy to let it go

It will now add to your clutter untill you finaly sling it in a few years time.The same thing happened to me with a money bag, it got me through ten years but went threadbare.When i totted up it's total receipts i used to well up with emotion and was unable to dispose of it.New ones are about eight pounds so one day i splashed out and gave the old one to someone just starting out thus giving it a second life.

Over a 100 metres i would struggle towards the end. Under 50 metres i can keep a steady pace.
If clives reel guides the hose on automatically instead of feeding, i believe he could walk back with it as it reels. That would be hard to beat with 100 metres coming in.

Back on topic i now use 1 from bnq. Same as lwc's link but bnq is a tenner dearer.
