this is what your missing matt ;D

It loooks grand, whos the foreigner in the pic??

Thing about UK, which is why I go abroad, is the weather here is guaranteed to be unreliable. I like guarantees weather-wise, and I get that in Egypt.

Holidays about sun, sun and more sun for me.

What size tank? Great for work breaks, and doing ongoing admin on the move, plenty of room for both a lap top and a printer, gas already in it's own compartment, and probably some way of hooking the system through the van's existing heater.Inspired move.

The burning question for you then, is does it have an electric reel

North coast of Cornwall (provided the weather is good) takes some beating.

Port Isaac, Padstow, Tintagel, Treyarnon Bay etc bloody fantastic. Have had many a good week there.

And it's only 4hrs from London ;D

Was in tintagel last week - was beautiful

Im in manchester but my family are in ireland, and wifes family in norfolk so we get away just visiting family, would like to go abroad but 4 month old child makes it difficult, i get out alot fishing (look like a lobster right now from a day out fishing) and i go mountain biking all over the country but am thinking of driving to a villa in south of spain next year with all the family as soon as my daughter is about 18m months :)

Just come back from a weekend in Lynton/Lynmouth (Exmoor). Fantastic weather too.

Itinerary

Friday: Finished work at 3pm and left Bristol 4pm. Arrived Lynton 6pm, (Hotel at the top near the Victorian railway thingy) caught train thingy down to Lynmouth and had Fish and Chips and mushy peas at an outdoor cafe/restaurant washed down with a pint of Lager.

Walked round the harbour and back up to the top.

Sea view from rooftop floor of hotel across to the Gower and the Brecons and up the Channel to the highest seacliffs in England at Countisbury.

Saturday: Horse Riding on exmoor in the morning Hot in the coombes but a light breeze on the moor. Woolacombe Beach in the afternoon and the Valley of the rocks to watch the sunset in the evening. Nice little restaurant with duck salad with 2 lagers followed by a cheeseboard and biscuits and a glass of port.

Sunday: Really hot. Walk round the shops on the seafront, bought a pair of leather jeans for the motorbike in the leather/sheepskin shop down a back alley. Then walked around lynmouth up the river to watersmeet - kids splashed in the fresh water rockpools.

Drove home over the top of exmoor to Byshops Lydiard and watched the steam train shunting and leaving while eating an icecream and then home by 8 o clock.

Back to work tomorrow!
It's a game of three halves!

I envy that but i don't have the knowledge to seek such things out.My little boy (nearly nine) goes off with his uncle and family to legoland thorpe park etc because we are a bit work mad and commited saturdays.

We go on packages that are all inclusive, but what malc describes would be great. I have always found holidays a bit stessfull because i am not earning money, and have a steep climb to come back to.Now that i have a helper i'm hoping that i can do this kind of stuff, but the chances are that i won't.
