Pumps.....
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:38:28 pm »
When I first started, I thought go for the most powerful pump, you never know when you might need the delivery. After burning out 1 Shureflow & 1 Flojet ( after 2 weeks!) I'm now using a 35psi Flojet Quad Wash Down pump. (£26 off eBay). Luverly pump, flowrate just perfect. Really quiet & I'm sure I'm gonna get at least an extra day battery use. I use 90 metres of 6mm plasic hose. ( I'm told this is why the Flojet burnt out )

That was lucky 'cos there was a similar looking gent with the same style hat and similar hair line. I was tempted to give him a nudge but at the last moment I thought he might be better looking. I'm sure he was your double.  ;D

hi,
I don't use any controller. Just the pressure switch on the pump. I do have an accumulator after the pump. This evens out the demand so the switch has a slightly easier time. Kevin
