1) Does the backpack have any type of float sensor to cut out when its empty or will it just run dry !!!!!!!, so you obviously have to keep an eye on water level.
2) Is it supplied with a length of tubing from the outlet point (so that you could physically cut the pipe at the end and add your own connector), or is it just a fixed connector in the body housing similar to a pressure washer??

No cut out sensor, just a noise that you know means its empty
It has a length out with a choice of either hoselock or a microbore tap
