Do they need to be full up or will a half filled one get me out of trouble ? tds has gone up to 5 and I haven't got enough resin :

normaly i fill mine 3 quarters fill, half should get you through your work until your new bag arrives did you shake the vessel, that should bring it down to 000 for a few days try that out

Ok thanks will try that first then, I know I overfilled it first time round if I hadn't I'd have had enough this time round I think if that makes any sense

yes give it a really good shake, then test it with tds meter, i bet it stays 000, does for me

Well guess you don't know unless you try I put the old resin in a big brewing bucket "just in case" then put about 7ltrs of resin in a 18 ltr vessel tds is down to 000, will get some resin on order though and keep an eye on things. Thanks for your replies, Matt I know I'm just to fussy

half full virgin would be better than expired resin.

if you dont shake it you will never know,
iv given my advice, sometimes it will give you more than a weeks extra work, depends on how low your tds is, the lower the better

Matt, I used to think that until last saturday. It was a hot day and I was cleaning with 5 water. I went back to check one and it was quite spotted. I think I will change from now on when it starts to rise, at about 1 or 2.
