for those with a sign written van, myself included, how often has a new customer said to you "oh yes, I have seen your van around" ?
would they be saying the same if you had an unmarked vehicle ?
I think it speaks for itself really, make your van stand out and shout what you do, its the best advertising.

having your van sign written is ok if you need the work but i left mine plane because i don,t need any more and no one knows whats in the back so less chance of it geting knicked and not only that if you upset some one out on the road its less agro. (ps sorry about spelling) ::) ::)

IMO your mad, an unsign written van is more of a traget to some type of folk, as it blends in, now if my van was nicked I would get free advertising whilst they was triving it, then all the details of where they took the van all free ;D

Sign written van

Been cleaning a full house UPVC, with gutters and conservatory roof today, well priced and just packing up - lady walks past can I have a price on pressure washing slabs at the back of the house, she had seen it on the van, popped round and priced it up.

Woman comes over the road - can you give my mom a price on her UPVC.

Go over - she says been reading your signwriting and looking on your website, job booked in for tomorrow morning.

Can I live without my signwriting, not a chance.

You don't know what is going on with people watching your every move whilst you are working on a street, one of the biggest pieces of business equipment you have is a vehicle. It has large panels on the side - utilise this space!!!

Rob ;D

that is paranoirer Milltown, for the tax man to know your every move he must follow you around all year!
I know they wont follow anyone around unless they have good reason to, they have a budget to run too and wouldnt be able to afford it.

i agree with you all!! i suppose if you are trying to dodge tax or whatever then u will not want a sign written van, but where you are legitimate i think its a great idea.

milltown

sign-writing is a must, our transporter has glow in the dark sign-writing, cost a packet (I think it was about £1400 or so - I'll ask my son, he sorted it out), but it brings in work, we're very busy and to be honest I don't want any more work, but it was a worthwhile investment.

get it done.

ps I think you are a new start so the tax man will know that you probably won't have a lot of work for the first year or so.
