Our sincere condolences go to all his family and friends. It really is a tragic loss.

For those that may have missed it, Billy Turton is collecting donations for John's family.

Billy Turton has just rang if anyone wants to donate something make cheques out to Mrs Gregory and post them to him as he is close by. His address is 16 Durham Way,Netherton,Liverpool,L30 1SJ.

I'm sure it goes without saying but, out of respect for his family, we should avoid posting any further details about the actual incident itself.

Absolutely, gutted. I learned the awful news whilst doing a commercial job last night. John spent a day with me a couple of years ago, and since then he would frequently phone seeking advice, and I last saw him at the CCDO and spoke just a couple of weeks ago. I spoke to his wife last night and passed on my condolences. I can honstly say that John was one of the nicest mild mannered guys it has ever been my pleasure to meet, I took to him straight away and its just awful to know that he has been snatched away from his family like this, just as he was beginning to get somewhere after such hard initial work getting his business going.
