« on: May 15, 2009, 09:10:08 pm »
Hi all,

I use a merlin and was thinking of getting a 40/40, would I use this on it's own or with the merlin?

Cheers, Jason

I use a 40/40 and it will save you a mint on resin over the merlin. One of my guys has about 40psi and it work 'ok'

Going very well...snagged a few little leaks in a couple of the ball valve and brass connectors so now it's building the rest of the housing for the system and ensuring it is all cold weather protected and the hoses can all drain empty.

Perhaps your tap tds varies say during the night....might be lower?...could be worth observing over the next couple of months...time of day could help?

Dave.

ps...I can have tds between 256 and 320ish depending

I can suffer from low pressure here in Holland...40 - 50psi...so I went with a HF5-4040 so should not need a booster pump....this may help http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=73274.msg643171#msg643171

Current average tds (from tap) around 280 then into RO Mmembrane > water out is around 5 - 11 depending on exact tds of water in> water then into DI vessel/resin...water out is 000tds....

Cheers
Dave.
