Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you who have the powerflite perfect heat machine have the same problem as Im having?
If the machine is any way full and sometimes even when its not, if you move the machine its starts making a loud sound like a whizzing noise. It sounds like theres water getting into the vacs I think Dont know what it is? I think I once read on this forum that it could be a vac on its way out, but i dont think so.
Also what cracks me up about this machine is that it wont cut out when its out of water. Me be thinking that cant be good for the pump and inline heater.
Apart from that i personally think its a deadly machine especially with the RX 20 attached to it.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as usual.

bren, i'd be inclined to contact the supplier that sold you the machine for a diagnosis, they should be able to troubleshoot... with vac's, they either work or they don't... regards charlie

Yes just lately mine as started to carry on running when water is too low but at least you know it's low 'cos there's nothing coming out the end.

It might be worth checking the heater coils!! Apparently the mountings for the vac motors, can rub against the colis, if the cable ties have come loose.This could cause a small leak onto the vac motors.

As regards to the pump, i wouldn't let it run dry. As far as i know it won't cut out when empty.

the only thing with mine is when waste tank is getting quite full i get dirty water come out the exhaust holes at bottom of machine does anyone else get this

I dont think so Richard - just wish my memory was a bit better.  Already replaced one vac due to this

If there's an auto dump available it's a good option and will pay for it'self in not having to replace vac motors

Good advice will check for that.
Sounds like that poss could be the problem.
Also Richard I have the same problem get dirty water come out the exhaust holes at bottom of machine. Must be more careful and keep an eye about emptying.

Make sure the dump hose is attached properly to the clip. If the clip goes over the hard end of the dump hose the lift won't get a good fit and you get turbulence in the wast tank. Attach the dump hose at the top of hose, not the lid part.. Also don't move it when its got water in the wast tank as it will cause a wave ( same goes for all machines), use lots of defoamer and if you do get a leak from the bottom of the machine open it up like a clam and stick a fan or fan heater on it to dry it out as it seems to me the vacuums always go when you try and turn it back on after you have gone over the top. The bottom grill can unscrew and you can inspect the coils if you are worried that they are leaking

Defoamer done the trick on my mates machine, advised him to get a tray of some sorts to put underneath.

mines overflowed the first time i used it. you let it happen once !!!! pain in the  ar!e cleaning under the machine. now I empty waste after 2 clean buckets have been used. the pumps do run dry, thats why you need to prime them before using every time. I was told it is ok, but have my doubts.

i do exactly the same now only put a max of 30 litres in and empty waste tank regularly.
