Triple alltec's how's it going?
« on: May 13, 2009, 03:45:36 pm »
There's been one or two Advance triple vacs sold to folk here, so the question is how's it going. Pleased? Recovery? Pressure? Usability? Be interesting to get some feedback.

Cheers

Clinton, couldn't make my mind up if you wer etalking about your "mrs" or your new machine to start with.

Wouldn't mind coming to have a look at your new machine sometime. What about once I've got back from Crete in a couple of weeks or so?

Hi Richie

A 2" mate with the option of a reducer to the wand or a whip hose as if am working in a small room its easier to manouvre..

As your probably aware 1 1/2 will restrict air flow but yes i agree it can be easier in tight areas.  Whats the heat like on it.   I used a Alltech machine a few years ago and was really surprised at how good the heat was.

Richie.

Must say i was suprised the suction on it for a portie and have more than managed with the jobs it has done already.

The heater has always been good on the alltecs and had it high the other day on some greasy upholstery on a comercial job..

Good to hear it's come up to expectations Clinton and it will probably cope with everything you chuck at it. Might be worth while taking a couple of 20 gal containers of hot water when going to biggish jobs to make life a little easier in terms of stopping to refill from customers taps.

Emptying is less time consuming and only takes a minute or so, but filling at sloooooooooooooow taps is a pain and this is a way of overcoming the potential problem.

The gain from using inch and a half over the last 12 -15 feet in terms of reducing muscle fatigue is worth the minor sacrifice in loss of air flow. It's still going to pull like a train !!

If required i do reduce to the 1 1/2 inch whip line but as soon as possible i go back to the 2 inch hose.  Even with a mere 10 feet of 1 1/2 inch whip line i can hear the drop in air flow through the wand lips.

Do you use 2" wand, or an adaptor? Thanks for your thoughts, great to know it's working out well

Robert

Your right on the filling when the customers water is slow so i do take a small tank of water, its a pain waiting thats the only downfall lol.

Am thinking of running it on a gennie and have clean and waste tanks in the new van.

Just a thought at the mo mind you ::)

Simon

Just use 1 and half inch wand and find that enough for me and if am running the 2" hose i use a reducer on the end of the hose :)

cheers

Clinton when you feel a bit flush get either a 2" wand or 1.75" like a prochem quad jet also you'll need a glide on it, go 2" all the way the drying time is far far better, I use 2.5" and a 2" Ti wand, recently I played around with a 2" vac pipe to it and the dryness dropped.

The 4 jets will but the sprays closer to the carpet and you'll get less air bourne spray it all helps to make a drier carpet.
