MESSY VANS.
« on: May 12, 2009, 09:36:14 pm »
Hi,

since i bought my trannie van, it has always been a mess in the back,

i simply threw everything in from my old van and did not set it up right...

my tank is in ok.... i have a pump lightly screwed to a side ply-panel,

my battery is loose, and so is my hose reel.

everything is in the wrong place,

i need to take it all out and give it a more professional look, not to mention safer, and easier to manage,

Am i alone,?.... who else works this way.... :o

i would love to get some ideas from you guys , how you have yours set up, ...so i can copy  ;)

i would say the pole holders are the only way my van looks  organised.... but hey, thats what i whip in and out...so its not slowing me down too much....its just that the pump is  here, the battery is there... etc etc.... i am going to have to sort it....

do you all box these things in?

Hey Gazza

Got myself a Vito BTW. Had a look at the guy in Bradford but it was a bit rough. Picked up a really nice clean one with low miles from St Helens.

Kitted out like the old dispatch but more room for more toy's now. Will Take piccy tomorrow if I get chance.

Still got the dispatch at the mo need to get it sold.

on the topic.
guilty, my vans a mess. Quite well laid out for work, reel exits the side door etc, but much of it unsecured.

off topic
wayne did you go vito because of weight and two man op? i love my scudo 900kg but i need to carry more so two of us can work. the ideal solution for me would be keep the scudo, but that would be three vans on my drive and i posted on here and most said it was unacceptable.

You need psychological help

A tidy van is the sign of a sick mind  ;D

That's a relief.  I must be more well than I realised.

HI Steve I do not rate the reel that good, because not too long after photo was taken the reel broke  :'( I got another one from B&Q I think it cost me 45.00 here is the picture of it

but as you can see from the second photo ( the black tap at the back highlights the break ) that one broke on me as well

l

I think having the reel on the tank where I do is not a good idea for these sorts of reels hope that helps you m8

oh well, looks good though!
i liked the idea of the smooth edged drum so the hose doesnt get caught when pulling at angles
