Cheap? yes, practical? No.  Imo, 12ft is nowhere long enough.  On quite a few of my jobs the 18ft is only just long enough.

Miles too short . What if you  encounter windows above conservatories?.
This appears too restrictive.
Cant see any advantages in using this.

Get a good 5 section telescopic one  from about £170.

The best advice I can give you with 5 years wfp experience under my wing is not to  over-look the huge importance of your pole & brush. These two things are the most important & influencing tools you will buy. Don't handicap yourself from the outset by useing inferior poles, they will make your life SO much harder. 400 quid will get you a superb pole, might sound dear to you as a newbie but they are worth every penny & I class them as investments as the enable you to work faster, easier & do a better job every time!

OMG! they use a soapy brush and rinse with 200 litres of tap water from a market stall caravan cleaning brush,
its the future ive tasted it

Is that one of them car cleaning  things where the hose in no way stays on the end.

Ive got one, paid £4 from a warehouse cash an carry and use it with a bucket of water and fairy on the van.

This is the best advice you will get on here, most of my work is done with the Harris, I paid over £800 for a superlite 2, But for 95% of my work I use the £15.00 Harris, and have been for the last 2 years.

yeh convert a unger of harris, if youre on a budget its much cheaper, drill a couple o holes and slip 6mm tube though, add a pole valve and a hosetail waterstop and bobs your uncle....

When you say harris pole , i take it you mean the extension  pole for decorators etc,

that 12ft pole is just a caravan brush, I used these on conservatory roofs before converting to WFP they are a good little pole for cleaning plastics and caravans and cars, but they are NOT a waterfed pole.

Don't bother with it I already have one I first bought for doing conservatory roofs with and they are good for that but they weigh a Ton but after a short while they leak like anything because the whole pole is full of water.

I use expensive rigid poles for commercial work, but for domestic an 18 foot glass fibre with vikan brush head is practical!!!

At the end of the day a £400 pole wouldn't last too long on daily domestic work!!!

For 1st floor standard house windows a gf is cheap and practical, you don't have to worry about the whip due to the heights you need to reach!!!
