Litres per min to PSI

Have found a pump and wondered how to find out what psi it is. Have asked the seller, but no reply as yet.

It provides a flow of 11L per min.

Can anyone tell me what this would be in PSI please.

Usually the higher the flow rate the lower the cut-off psi of the pump. This one would probably be about 35-40psi shut-off.

Ive seen a 30psi shurflo that is 6Litres per min, so thought thius would be around 50 - 60 psi.

I know its not great, but money is tight and so is my water production at the moment. My pressure at home is only 28psi so this would give it a good boost

That's only 12 volt and is really of no value for a RO booster pump.  You need a 240 volt RO booster pump, something like this: www.osmotics.co.uk/selfregulating-booster-pump-p-185.html.  A point to note with this pump though is that you would need to have it on a timer with an hour on and an hour off, otherwise the pump will burn out within a couple of months.  I know it is more expensive but the pump you were looking at on eBay really wouldn't work and you would end up wasting your money.

Two and a half years down the line - maybe i've been lucky so far.  :)

Cheers for the advise guys.

I started window cleaning after being let go as there wasnt enough work to keep me working there. Ive maxed out my budget now and cant afford £85 for another pump. I bought a 100psi shurflo after being told it would work. Turned out that it was ok for the 300GPD RO's and not a little 75 like mine (keeps cracking casings).

Have been able to add a second membrane to increase production (luckily).

I can sell my 100psi shurflo for about £60 on ebay. Problem is that ill have to take ebay and paypal fees off it. I havent got any more money than the £50 i will get for my current pump. Is there a cheaper option out there ?

The 100 psi sureflow can be dialed down to 60 psi no prob. Kust use an alen key in the bottom of the plastic end,.. turn it all the way anti-clockwise.

Thanks.  I've tried that already - the psi still jumps from between 60 and 80 and it's still cracking the casings.

This might be a long shot for you but look on ebay for a guy listing as Beechcroft diving. I've got stuff from him before and I'm pretty sure he does pumps a lot cheaper than that. And they are 'tweakable' more easily.
He also does poles and stuff if you are interested.  I only really know because I do a bit of diving with him, or used to, and he imports diving kit from Taiwan/Vietnam/etc. Think that's where he got the trolley systems he sells.

John Hewitt is his name, his brother used to race side cars with Steve Webster (not that that has anything to do with window cleaning)

Cheers for all the advise guys. Seems the second membrane is working a treat now. Im having to shut the water off rather than run it all night.  ;D
