Hi all,
Tried cleaning this earlier with hot wfp but no joy, would tfr take this off as it hasn't been cleaned in nearly 40 years. Appreciate any help. Cheers Chris

did you try scrubbing it using the white pad, after 40 years of bird poo on the glass, its possible it has crystalised into the glass, if it has, it is near impossible to remove

I don't see TFR being a problem on that, At worst case you may need a scraper on an extension pole to scrape the hard crusty bits but make sure you soak with TFR and leave it to penetrate for 15 mins.
If there is a tap you can use, connect it to a hose and use that to scrub. much better pressure than your DI water!

another thing...If you are going to buy some TFR make sur it is non-caustic. Better for the environment and gives you less headaches!

Could be limescale in which case you'd need an acid to remove it and plenty of elbow grease, forget tfr.
