Don't think it's an issue, but if you feel an area is insecure take it inside or walk !
I DID however have a machine stolen from my van about ten years ago plus a load of customised tools.
My own fault.......................forgot to lock the van !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perhaps a good idea would be to employ somebody to stand by the machine whilst working
seriouly, i doubt any body could get away with it whilst working.

Wouldnt think either someone would try to steal it when working
Think we all have to be aware mind you who is around at most times...

Adam,
chill man, or move to a different neighbourhood,
You stand more chance of the portable catching fire, setting fire to the house and burning you and your clients inside, and then you won't get paid for the job.

I would have thought the greater risk would be somebody trying to access the house you are working in and steal something from inside the house from the householder because the front door has to be open to allow cables/hoses inside.

Ha i know its abit paranoid, just seeing if it had occurred. The guy who sold me my machine said always take it in with you, but tbh it's alot of hassle isn't it. I guess if someone was really clued up and carried out a millitary opperation they could maybe get it
