I like this machine and am very, very tempted to buy the full 600psi version, but reading through the spec I note the recovery tank is just over half the size of the solution tank. Unless I read it wrong you could spend a lot of time emptying given the potential for recovering water. I realise this is likely to allow room for the 3rd vac but I think i'd need the auto dump too. A few have been sold to folk on here and it will be interesting to read their feedback. I still want one though

One of the benefits I found of going TM is the fact there is no bucket work - neither filling nor emptying.
I hate the bucket work.

So what do we have with the new Alltec - OK a 57 litre clean water tank, but a dirty water tank a little over half that size (30 litre).

How much extra for the auto dump?

and still no performance figures. I would be wanting to shout these from the roof tops if I was selling the machine.

Emptying buckets doesn't really concern me, maybe I've got used to it! You can't really moan about bucket work when it comes in far cheaper than a TM and something had to be sacrificed to allow an extra vac.... It's certainly got me interested and will be the next stepping stone to the TM... I would opt for the 600 psi with the rotovac 360 and start hard floor/tile/grout cleaning too!

I could do with a few weeks like this one and I'd be able to pay cash

I'm prepareed to bet that fully kitted it will weigh a ton!!

It only has 12 months warranty on the body, my Powrflite has 5 years.

Working at high pressure my machine gets through 50 litres in about
15-20 mins, and Wonderwand jets are small , if recovery is any good,
you'll be emptying it, every 10 mins.

There is no way the heater can run with all 3 vac's running, so any time
saved on cleaning will be eaten up waiting for the tank to warm up.

if you must have 3 vac's then a 2 vac machine with a booster is the way
to go.

I know they are well built, and look quality, but fibre glass is heavy stuff.

We have the twin vac 600psi and this has the same size recovery tank as the 'TV' (aka Alltec Advance Tranny!!) so the third vac hasn't changed this.

Obviously it would be better not having to keep going to the custy's toilet to empty but in truth it's not a big issue.

I am curious as to whether there will be an easy upgrade from twin to triple in future. I wonder also if they will be able to cram a 1200 psi pump in with three vac's................

Twin vac is heavy but easily manouvreable.

Quality parts do tend to weigh a bit. This is way lighter than our PW which is a similar size.

We have ramps for loading / unloading the PW but don't need these for the Advance as it tilts back on its large rear wheels and has really well thought out weight distribution.

Can't fault it to be honest.

I love posts like this, it always make me think of the quote 'no one kicks a dead dog' this machine really is worrying certain companies why else would it be getting kicked at every opportunity.

Alltec must be laughing their heads off, they don't need to post performance figures to justify thier machines,I sure they know  if anyone is serious about buying a 3 vac machine then they will call and take up the free demo, I certainly would'nt spend any serious money on a portable without a thorough demo and a close scrutiny of the company I was purchasing it from.

Like the look of this machine. Can you run the heater and vacs at the same time? If not does anyone know how long it would take to heat a tank up to 70 degrees? I assume you vac/prespray/move furniture etc. while the water is heating up?

Emptying waste tank not a problem only takes a few seconds if you set up near a drain etc.

Heating upto 70 from cold would take an eternity (over an hour if you just tipped 60 litres of cold straight in).

Most times you can get hot from the tap which varies between 30 and 40 degrees so almost ready for wool and well on the way to higher temps.

The trick is to start with 20 or 30 litres, set the heater on max then keep adding water whilst setting up, vacuuming etc. Remamber to turn the temp down before the last bucket or two if lower temp needed.

I think the thid vac only runs when heater turned off but Clinton will tell you for sure as he's taken the plunge already.

One thing; don't tip waste down a 'drain'. It needs to go down the toilet or at least into the sewer some other way. If you get caught tipping waste down a drain you will get a very hefty fine (as much as £20000 I think).

As colin said in his post the weigh is not an issue on the machine for most of us :

Should be gettin mine this week and what i have heard is v good and might copy a guy who has one with his set up.

That is run it as a t mount on a genie with the tanks in the van and also when needed take it out of the van.

Was also going to buy a prowler but if i can do the new alletc set up running on a genie as a t mount i would be happy.

Performance figures can be 'fixed' and as theres no industry standard measuring system they mean nothing.  Prochem used to provide performance figures and their portables on paper had more power than the entry TM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This machine will be heavy so be warned.

Also Ive spend thousands trying portable electric TM systems and it dosent work.  It take the same amount of space a normal TM takes, it is limited to hose length for decent vacuum, can be a real mess with three electric cords, some properties without power (students lets, communal halls) are a non starter, the cost is near to a small TM.

A portable was designed to be just that..............................portable.

If you want/need a TM buy one.
