Stainz R Out on JML
« on: April 27, 2009, 02:51:38 pm »
Hi Guys,

Was flicking through the shopping channels the other night and on JML was this product which is made using Banana oil. It seemed quite impressive but i couldn't help thinking it seems to good to be true.

Has anyone else seen this product or even used it and if so does it work???

Cheers Rich.

Now all you need is something that gets banana oil out.

There's some other crap out I've seen advertised but at the end of the ad in small print is "Only suitable for man made fibres" (Or words to that effect) I wonder how many people with woollen carpets buy it ???

The trouble with these infomercials is that they put a stain or a series of stain onto a carpet piece and then immediately take it out.
Thats fine if your the householder but we get called to stains that have been there for weeks, months or even years.
Also, do they tell you what the carpet fibre is? No - so another variable.

Remember the saying, if it sounds to good to be true.............

Years sgo at Wellesbourne market, my missus pointed out a bloke selling carpet spotter,
he poured used engine oil on a carpet tile, and sprayed it and simply wiped off!!! amazing loads of mugs bought
some, my missus said thats good stuff.
My reply was, no he's demonstrating just how good the gaurd on the tile is.
A company i subbed to used to advise us to soak kitchen roll in the solvent based silicon gaurd we sold,
when dried out you could run it under the customers tap and it wouldn't get wet, a very good sales gimmick.

At the end of the day a Satisfied Customer is all that counts, They'll come back and so will their friends!!!

I have used it, its no different to POG and smells exactly the same, and if you notice what he uses it on, oil based stains, say no more.

If we could get solvent from a banana, don't you think they would be selling it as bio-fuel??

Problem with the buyers from these programmes is they believe what they see.

I remember one guy selling magnets that stops hard water on QVC, I mean how the *CUK would that stop hard water, but the pitch was that good people bought and poor numptys would come on saying how soft their water was and how frothy the soap now was.

How comes then it got banned for being misleading and QVC got fined.

Regards

Graham
