Will i damage anything ???
« on: April 27, 2009, 01:49:30 pm »
i have bought a new pole, supa lite dual trim brush and 5mm tubing for the pole (by mistake), after about an hour of persuasion i have managed to get the 5mm tubing on the y piece on the brush and also on the tap (alls good), do you think that trying to squeeze water down this thin hose will ruin my pump or something....

cheers

5mm is definitely better for pole hose. To make it easier to fit the hose on to the Y piece dip it in a cup of boiling water for 15 seconds before fitting.

i have been using this hose today for the first day but i dont seem to be getting as much water pressure out of the brush, do you think this hose could be the reason???

If you are using the 5mm ID (8mm OD) then the 8mm straight John Guest connectors will fit.

No wonder you are struggling!! This hose only has a 3mm id which in my experience (yes I have tried it out!) is not large enough. You need 5mm ID hose which has an 8mm OD.

5mm is by far the best and can be got in B&Q,it feels like a bit of string compared to other types and sizes.
