What PDA for WPC?
« on: April 27, 2009, 11:35:08 am »
Never had or used a PDA - but like the idea of having of not having to print pages out each day, and updating as I go along my day.

Cab't justify spending a stack of cash on one, as I will only be using for this WCP, and calender dates.

So, just need the most basic of models, but with good userabilty, and reliability.

Any help is appreciated.

I have a IPAQ rx1950 PDA , it cost £45.00 on ebay . I got this when i first got WCP. I expect you could get one of these cheaper now.

not yet, the price to run it is a bit excessive, its 75p per day per unit, so if you have one guy working for you then you need two units (one for you of course on a pda or office computer) plus you need to pay your internet provider cost (mine is unlimited vodafone, £ 7.50 per month) so in total you could be paying 60 quid minimum a month for it, however if you really need to keep track of your guys and make sure no payments have gone missing or they are scamming you then this software is worth it, as it ensures that no payments are lost and all customers are up to date....however i would only recommend it if you can reasonably afford it each month.

you really need to have a demo to fully understand what you are getting.....its really comprehensive, yet simple to use.

Can you run round tracker v4 on windows mobile?

I did the thing and got a second hand o2 xda, which is the same as a htc touch apparntly, but I'm having all sorts of problems reconfiguring it to run just the normal stuff I have on my blackberry. It would have been nice to just run the blackberry but no spreadsheet compatability on it.

As you can probably guess, technology isn't one of my strongest points. ;D
