Like the title says does any one have a spare hose reel with, ideally, about 60m of 8 mm hose, which they want to sell?

I just want a cheap one to start to see how it goes giving a family member a bit of work

Would also be perfect if you were in Dorset!!

Buy a hozelok plastic/aluminium reel. They're cheap & very robust. Despite what many say about them on here, & what many now falsely beleive- they are very good. I've used the same one for 5 years & now have 80m of minibore (8mm) on it. I also know that Alex.G used one for years, I think he still does.

You're right. My last pair of hozelock reels lasted for 7 years. I replaced them last year with a pair of brand new large hozelock reels. The only issue with them is the leaky side connection, but as I use them out of the van this is never a problem and I also have a full drip tray for them to sit in in the vehicle. I much prefer them to the metal hose reels that seem so popular. I can just get 100m of microbore on one. I will be upgrading at some point to our new High-Viz metal reels though when I have finished fitting out the new van.

I blew three apart in a few weeks. Probably because my pressure was too high. They are very light and cheap though, but i also got through so many grey connectors that can't be bought anywhere in a hurry that I gave up on them.
Pity you are a bit of a drive away 'cos i just happen to have 100m of microbore sitting on my garage floor at the moment.

yes they are good , but try running hot water with them, they buckle and bend
