weedkiller question
« on: April 26, 2009, 02:17:55 pm »
I use Round-up Pro Biactive. Recently bought a new batch. I am convinced it is not as potent as it used to be . Was Wondering if they had changed the formula of somerthing. Anyone else noticed this ?

Regards

weather was fine all day on each occassion. nothing added, just 25ml per litre of biactive. it seems to take three weeks to show and then has not done the job completely. i am conducting a trial on some weeds in the garden. adding 5ml  of detergent per litre to one half and not to the other. the round up plus the detergent half is showing signs of dying off . the other half looks remarkably healthy after 2 weeks.

cheers

Weed killer takes longer to show if the growth is slower. I did the weeds round my garden over a week ago and their just starting to go yellow.

You will find the Roundup and washing up liquid will work quicker, because the detergent breaks down the wax that plants have n there leaves enabling the biactive to attack the plant quicker. You can buy a product call Mixture B which is a wetting agent, a bit stronger than washing up liquid but similar.
