Customers think more of us
« on: April 24, 2009, 10:52:58 pm »
I always thought customers are not really interested in us mere window cleaners until a while back when I had my first child they gave money or presents. Also on Sunday I'm running the London marathon and some have given the same price as their windows to me in sponsorship, really makes you feel appreciated and feels even better it going to a good cause :)  Granted there's still some miserable ones and those that really don't care!! ;)

I always remember turning up to a customers farm

"DO YOU LIKE EGGS"
"erm yes...theyre ok"
"here have these"

Hands me 5 trays of 36 eggs a tray lol, all double yokers!! We had scrambled egg, boiled egg and omlettes for weeks!!  ;D

my daughters nearly 4 and i often gee customers ask how she is; get a few bob for her money box.
most people 98% are decent i find they may have the odd moan about weather most times i don't think it's personally aimed at me and i've got past caring.
never work in rain only between showers and in light drizzle.

people can forget to post cheques but the worst that can happen is you might get knocked for £10-£20, never had that big yet a few for a fiver that have moved it use to bug me but i do well at xmas tips £300 this year expected half thet due to way things are.

I think us lot have got the best job going!

I have to drop my daughter 9am nursery school; and pick her up again at 11.30am, then drop her at mum or mum inlaws 20 min drive away and still earn a decent living.
o.k i could be more money££££
but my daughters in fulltime school sept 9-3
roll on :)

If a custy upsets me that much now, i don't bother argueing
i just miss them out ;D
sooner or later they approach or call me

YOU DON'T DO MY WINDOWS ANYMORE?

me: yes i know you upset me last time you were quite rude saying everytime i come it f**cking rains.
i'm not responsible for the weather but i do have to work all year round in most weathers to make a living and not scrape one ;D

had this recently after 3 misses customer approaches and just relayed aboved montioned.
doing his windows again a were great mate's ;D
I think ;)

the other one i like doing now is if i get a new custy and they start laying the law done over your dearer come later sooner than last w/c

I just half turn away from custy and say" were not going to get on"
they always shout out after me and then when i'm talking thet are now listening to how i do things.

If that doesn't suit them then, i manage to dodge a MESSER ;)

Hi,

Yes customers do seem to be good, bad or ugly! But mine all seem pretty well trained now though  ;)

Cheers for marathon wishes, all done now and raised a good amount for great charity which kept us going on the day!

thanks again
