Think there is a picture of joes prowler he posted it about 4 weeks or so ago under the post of bob the builder because of the colour of the prowler, looks a great machine and has no waste tank.

Did have a go at the smaller one too and again a great machine..

Hi Andy SCCC

As stated by others I have the Prowler 15hp which has a Kohler engine. I bought it 2nd hand 5 weeks ago with 22 hours on it, so its virtually new.  Works very well, is lighter then a "conventional" TM basically because it has no waste tank. Its on wheels but not so portable. Can be got in out of van but you would need ramps (dont cost  a lot - I have a set for my Cimex). The 15hp has a bigger blower and bigger pump the the 13hp.

The smaller red one is 13hp with a Honda engine. I have used one briefly, impressed with that as well. This one has more then enough grunt to clean big houses and with spare capacity.

John Kelly imports these, along with a newly introduced 20hp, which is more conventional in as much it has a waste tank.

Prices - depends on how the £ - $ thingy is. You need to talk to JK at Restormate - link on another post.

I would recommend - but check the pricing .

Here it is. Engine in the middle, blower at the front, pump behind the engine, heat exchanger above the pump under the "toast rack".

Joe, how noisy is it?  I know some TM's can make a hell of a din

The air cooled TM's will make more noise then water cooled ones - its like motorbikes. The water jacket keeps the engine at the right temperature but also absorbs sound.
I think my 15hp Prowler is slightly nosier then the 18hp Avenger I had (now with Mike Osbourne). Possibly because the Avenger was a twin cylinder and the Prowler is a single cylinder. Same as with motor bikes- the old single cylinders were called "thumpers" and were nosier then the twins.
Noise has never caused anyone to come and complain. Everyone can see you providing a service.
Obviously "we" dont go cleaning carpets in the middle of the night (though I have done but that was city centre pub).
Opinion is that noise is good for business - attracts attention of the neighbours. Having sid that I have only knowingly got one job because of the noise attracting someone.

I think Joe is right. My machine is a bit quieter but even so I was worried about the noise. That lasted a week.

You forget there I workman all around us with equipment far more noisier. Wouldn't worry about it.

The Prowler did seem noisy at last years Day Out, but I think that was because it was out of the van.

It will go in the dispatch no prob and also room for a portie and your extras etc.

Looking at the new set ups that are going to be on the market things are getting smaller..
