« on: April 23, 2009, 10:40:35 pm »
after wanting  one  for ages  i finally got one yesterday and when i got  it i thought it would be bigger and splay a little more, and after 10 mins was gonna put my oval vikan on, i decided to stick with it and  i have to say i have had my best day in ages and every single job has been 100% spot free, perfect results with the littleist of effort.   just thought i would let you all know ;D

I wasn't really into trying out many brushes, i just worked with what i had. But i also have found this brush to be noticably impressive.
The scrubbing ability on 1st cleans is very good. Much better than the brushes i had.

both of us now use the Gardiners dual trim brush and they work very well once you get the hang of using them. I loved the oval Vikans but now they seem just too heavy, even at ground window level. The best brush IMO for leaded windows is the vikan as the dual trim is just too stiff, but Alex says that a softer version is due out at the end of April. I may order the softer version and a flocked version as well for comparison.

i love it, i have to admit it does feel quite strange on the glass compared to the oval vikan i am used to but the results are outstanding, i actually thought the inner bristles wasnt touching the glass at first, done my windows today and there is not one single spot..  excellent brush.

ive had one two weeks and found the brush irritating to use
wasnt enough brush for me the stock of the brush is fragile and
is too easy to damage.

so went back to sill brush today did two jobs got fed up of the
weight so stuck the superlite back on ;D

hopefully gardiners will soon bring out the sill brush i have heard
people mention on here then i will be a happy man :)

I got one when it was first released (second version) & I've never taken it back off. It gets used for everything & every job! Top brush. ;)

been using mine for the first time this week.....the vikans now will be consigned to history. your right about the finish you get with them(spot free).it gives you a sense of confidence, i always worried about the results using the vikan oval,so over the next few weeks will be giving alex some more business(like he needs it)
