was using my pole today but having probs getting the bottom bit on some of them. What decent goosenecks are out there and are they universal fit?

Cleaning Spot and Equip-Direct are a few of many that sell them and yes they are universal fits but be carefull as it's wise to have an aluminium collar on your pole for extra strenght as the poles that are without these and just have a hole drilled within it will break after a while due to the top section not having the reinforcement.

I've replied to your email.  The 14" should do it.

I just bought a carbon fishing pole 14.5 m (45ft) and was going to adapt the end for the garderner goose neck. Not sure if it would add to much weight, any1 know?
If it does then I will use 2 plastic ones only trouble is getting the right position for it, I dont want to keep getting the pole down to sdjust it.
