Hi Matt, I wont use it a lot and at the moment I use a glass fibre pole, but its to heavy to use and really doing my back in.
If I use a fishing rod then at least I can take off the sections when I need to and make more use of it.
Have you got a link to where I can get the pole from. Its got to be carbon fibre as I dont think I want to use anything else right now.

Cheers

Hi steve

i have 2 Ron thompson gangsta's and 2 Ron thompsom zensorflex's and i got 42 ft actual height, it was very usable

you will need a extra zensorflex for the 3 ft ( it will actually gain you just over 6 ft )

it takes some working out, i spent about 30 - 45 mins working out which would fit in which, you can then get coloured tape and tape each side of the joints so you know what goes in what, it will just speed it up in the future

i personally found the pole very stable, i am sure it will have more flex that the 500 quid poles, but we are talking poles for under 200 quid here and honeslty for occasional use at that height, i would be very happy

Hi Matt, have you had a chance to compare your combo with a c/f  F16/M16/shimano/etc  42fter ? What I think I am suggesting is that if anyone needing to eventually go to 42ft plus should go straight out and buy a £249 -£300 fishing pole or an emporium or sl2 because having got to 42ft you wil then want to go higher , which those poles are capable of.
What happens is that we all naturally take the cheapest option and having found out how light the poles are, then try to make it bigger. Its the parallel extensions that can make the poles higher.
