Offering promo spotters
« on: April 16, 2009, 09:01:30 pm »
Hi people, just joined recently and have been reading many many good posts seems to be quite a lot of very experienced CC on here...I am going now 1 year and still going strong  ;D....At the moment I am looking at various ways of promoting my business.

Anyway im looking into giving promo spotters away with cleans all labelled up with company details and the whole spree...have any of you tried this and did you think it worked?

What I would like was to get the bottles as cheap as (if anyone else is after any then we could order together and hopefully get a good bulk discount) with a good quality printed label.

I am using M-Power as my main cleaning solution and was thinking of diluting it for the promo spotters....does like sound like a good plan or do any of you do anythink better/different?

Any help or advise appreicated :)

Ben
Have you raised the point of using M-Power as a diluted spotter give away on Cleantalk forum?
I think (but maybe wrong) that once diluted it has a limited shelf life.
Just a thought, no point giving something away and it dont work - you will be remembered for the wrong reasons.

fraser, its not on their site as such, its apart of the package that covers a one off setup fee, about £25- quid.. i did ask nick what the solution was some time ago, & i'm sure he said it was eco 2, but don't quote me on that... it works very well and is made up with 5-10% phosphate (food grade) contains no bleaching agents, enzyme free, no sticky residue & ready to use.... hope this helps.. charlie ;D

just to let you guys know, my costing for spotter bottles, labels, (including sticky back plastic over the top so label doesn't bleed ink) and onestep mixed 1 to 6. comes in just under a quid.
if i was selling them like CA i'd probably go down his route but as there freebies i'll do it this way.

Nice one Charlie, thanks for that.

Derek, It's got to be a great marketing tool at a reasonable price.  Let us know how you get on with it.  (Im sure you will!)

Only thing with m power I found was pretty good as a general pre spray with plenty of dwell time ,but would not use it as a spotter as I found those stubborn stains needed something stronger like stain pro.

Since swapping back too conventional chemicals for carpets ie powerburst etc have found I hardly ever need to use a stain remover therefore I dont think m power is suitable as a stain remover .

Gone back to using micro splitters for upholstery and as a general spotter .

I find the spotters from John Kelly very good at a couple of quid a bottle and the labels dont run and I think its pureclean in them.

Yes clinton considering the onesI used to get where £5.00 a bottle, mind you alot of the time I just give them out to good customers especially if they spend over a hundred quid.

It's all about wooing your customer the promo spotters do that even to get a customer for this time only, customers aren't as loyal as they used to be so get them now and fingers crossed they come back.

Right on that and when you have taken a 100 quid of them it doesnt sound a lot to give them a spotter free..

Lots of clients loyal to the dollar ::)
