gr cleaning solutions

getting going

hi all ive just started up window cleaning on saturdays only for now untill i build up my round at the moment i have around 17 customers only been working 4 saturday up to now and its all been word off mouth so i am really pleased i only do traditional at the moment the house range from terraced to a 4 bedroom detached and a shop front just like to say that this forum has been very helpfull and great reading

working full time at the moment but getting made redundant around August September so trying to build up a round so i can be out more once iv finished working full time

My Mrs nagged for weeks on end back in 2006 about cleaning our windows, so reluctantly ??? i borrowed next doors ladders and with a car windscreen icescraper/squeegee thing i set about doing my windows.
Whilst up the ladders a lady walked past and said "could you come and do mine after?"
I agreed to do them straight after only charged £5 thought nothing more of it until about a week later. Their was a knock on the door another lady was asking me "to do her windows as i did her friends the other week".
borrowed the ladders done the job got paid.
3 years later i have a customer base of 400 employ a young lad the rest is history and yes i still do those two ladies windows and yes its still a £5er each.
Great oaks grow from little acorns ;)

Seriously it happened.
i was a postman at the time. i just fell into window cleaning by chance never ever set out to become one, but its the best job on earth imo ;D

i never thought about it untill my brother gave me the idea , i look up a few things got give some ladders of the father in law bought the equitment needed and off i went im looking to get some shop windows if can ,well thats the next step away

back out again tomorrow to do second cleans im guessing this will be quicker than the firsts as i want to do some posting of flyers

it will be quicker as you will know where they are after about 5 times round them you will fly round the houses as you will know where to place the ladder and how to make it quicker.  One thing I would say is do not make the mistake of under charging.

i did four house on a new housing est after the third i found out the best place to put the ladders so it did make easyer as for price i d taken advice from here a worked it by how much i would like an hour so far im please with what im getting i just need to speed up a bit more or maybe it was because they were sll first cleans ?

First cleans always slow you down, and time and motion for first 3 cleans slows you down, 4th you will see the improvement and 5th you will see the results
