Whats your pole and how much stick does it get.
« on: April 10, 2009, 08:31:49 pm »
I use  X Tel's at the moment. Had them quite a long time. I must say they get hammered.

I have looked after them with regular cleaning of each section and make sure I run the pipe work through a wet flannel after each job.

Now want a lighter pole and was wondering if a more expensive, lighter pole would stand the stick especially using above conservatories and sky light windows etc.

Its amazing how much I put mine through and they still keep going!

Would like a lighter pole now as I tend to use the 30ft for most of my work.

Snap!

But it hasn't.  The Ron Thompson is as hard as a Fijian squaddie.

I've bashed it around; thumped windows closed with it; I've even pushed up old wooden sash windows, and it's just as good as new; with the exception of the scratches on it.

I have an SL-2.

I try and look after it. It has it's own room, I cook it a full english breakfast in the mornings, I book it in for regular massages. it get's an all expenses paid holiday at least twice a year. I think it's pretty well looked after if you ask me ??  ;D

no, I've got a small 4x4' pole which is ideal for houses.

The SL-2 comes into it's own on big work which I do a couple of days a week. I actually look forward to high work at the moment. I would use it for smaller jobs but I still keep it in the bag and can't be bothered to unpack it for houses  :)

The Harris for everyday work, and that does get a hammering.
The SL2 for high work, and I treat it with respect.

F16 up to 60ft  used every day for 3 years and gets some stick. M16 is stronger.  Emporium up to 88ft.
