HOZELOCK TO MICROBORE

What do you chaps all do to connect your 8mm microbore hose to your hozelock hose reel and where do you get the connectors from? Thanks in advance. Matt

Every thing you need even how to connect your customers hoselock fited hose pipe to your microbore pole when doing conservatory roofs.... ;)

Gardiners sell them you need a hoselock female with a microbore barb the other end they sell them in white plastic.

thanks couldn't find them on either cleaning spot or gardiners found both sites awkward to negotiate and confusing but got one off wcw which is a doddle for IT novice like me!

I have 3 reels with microbore hose and one with normal hose.
Which connectors will I need for alll 4 hoses.
Not sure of size of microbore (6 or 8) how will I know/find out.
Can you help?

First thing is to take a measurement of the outside diameter of the hoses that you have. If the OD is 13mm then you have Minibore (8mm) if it is 11mm then it is Microbore (6mm). If you are having difficulties getting the outside diameter, put an adjustable spanner to the size of the hose and then measure the gap in the spanner (unless you have a vernier).

Once you have worked this out you will know which fittings to buy on the above link. The only other thing is what type of hose reel you have? Metal or Hozelock? There are two different type of fitting kits depending on which you are using.
