Carpet Cleaners Holiday
« on: April 10, 2005, 10:47:52 pm »
In January of this year i went on a weekend trip to Villamora in Portugal for a Networking weekend! we had a great laugh and the cost was very cheap.
It worked out at £175 for 4 nighhts inclusive of car hire.
I thought that it would be a good idea for us CC's to do the same, it does not have to be in Jan 2006 it could be in poss October 2005. Perhaps go on a thursday afternoon and return on a monday morning. I would of course arrange it, but at the moment i'm looking yo see if there would be any interest.

Anyone up for it?

Hi Ian

Good Idea,

Doesn't have to be abroad, how about a weekend at Warners or something similar which is of course for adults only.(Not that I don't like kids, its just that I couldn't eat a whole one ;D).

Now if it is to be abroad La Manga a short hop away and, if your into it, some of the best golf courses in the world.
 ;)

Why don't we have a british contingency visit to the ISSA cleaning show in Las Vegas(18-21 Oct) we could all claim it as a legitamate business expense and we'd have a great time!

3 of us are already going, this show beats the cleaning show & the NCCA show.

Aah now, La Manga sounds good.  I'm not fussy though, any of La Manga's 19 holes will do.   :)

Mind you, Portugal has some lovely courses too.

A trip stateside could include some of THE best sites in the world for Paintball.
But then some CCs may only be fit enough to amble round a golf course  ;D

Chris,

Why not take the opportunity to combine the both, think about it; paintball & golf!! Just think of all those slow moving targets and a clubhouse at the end of all of that carnage!!

Chris,

Paintball although VERY GOOD fun can hurt.   I used to go paintballing on a regular basis.  Even upgraded from the normal 1 shot at a time guns to a semi automatic one.   In one event i forgot to put my webbing on.  I was hit behind the ear with a shot and it knocked me out (OUCH) that hurt. AND HAD A BIG BRUISE TO PROVE IT.

Richie.

Hi

I told a lie, it was Febuary 2nd, and 10 of us went, it was a bit cold on the evening but great in the day.
We all claimed it back on expenses, and Villamora has a beautiful marina and some great golf courses, well they were great, until i started hacking them to pieces ;D    So, 10 of us had return flights, Luxury appartments, and three cars to use for the term. The golf worked out to about £20 per round, but sorry boys, and i did say boys........... but there was no paintball sites ;D
So anyway next thing is how many people would want to go?
and in what month?

what a thought, all of us talking about carpets day and night....you know what i mean Len!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ian

Ps      Chris, do you realy expect us to believe that that is your hand  ;)
