That does come over Fraser, but when you dont know anyone who has had their carpet cleaned to recommend to you - what do you do?
YP, Thom etc, google it (or other search engine, pick up local paper.
Your into the iffy zone again - so I thinks its quite clever.

I have put it on my new website, if people get to my website, viewing that video may be the final clincher. I have already told them I am a memebr of the NCCA (with links to their site) but if they got past them then this also directs then to NCCA.

Yes Joe, anything that helps is good, of course.

Maybe the video should emphasise the NCCA a bit more as you don't see the logo until right at the end.

I am sure some will be turned off that video in the first 10 seconds - thats life - but it held my interest right till the end, then it came as a suprise with the NCCA - I wasnt expecting that.
I dont think we should shun any form of advertising - especially when its free.
If someone is a member of the NCCA, like I am, then I think its worth putting into your web site like I have done.

Pass a test use this Video, your an expert. The NCCA mislead the public as becoming a member is not based on ability or experience. Just be good a remembering a test then you are a specialist NCCA member.

What a joke that is. 99% of people only join in the belief it gets them more work. I use the NCCA as a reason not to use them in my sales pitch by expalning the joining system and the fact you dont need any onward training. I also show them my Training manual and exam details and then explain why I have not joined.

so I wont knock it .

when i first started I plumbed for the iicrc  , a little more in depth I was told at the time , and yes I learnt alot and built from there.and has I had already learned the working basics of c/c by Mike who was more than helpful  " hence is award " I knew  the iicrc course would benifit me more as the ncca course is a little more hands on and not such a difficult exam " so I, m Told "  .
So for a newbie , no experience ncca  must be good , but just goes to show that anybody with an inclin to do c/c can pop along to the ncca and hey presto a week later . they are duping the public .

Now thats only my opinion, and perhaps a little harsh , but i,m sure you get the jist.

some of the guys i met on the course said to me, "this is a loads of old bo11oxx, i'm only here for the certificate, carpet inspection! pre vac! pre spray! get in get paid get out"

i laughed as they'll forever be chasing business which costs money, but it proves that the ncca is harder to police than you think. in fact its impossible unless you have to submit your clients names and then the ncca contact the odd 1 or 2 a year to make sure they were happy with there members, 3 strikes and your out.

I would rather have the NCCA  pay a professional to do a video rather than someone knocking one out for free. I know Ian means well but as a member I want to know If this been approved by the association. Its like me making a new NCCA logo and telling everyone to use it on there site.

There was a Rusian who did not speak much English Former Major in KGB. In Fairness he did not take the exam

A family who had never cleaned a carpet and scandal scandal did the examine as a team effort
