I had my iPhone stolen from my van last week, just a little tip to stop these thieving sods. This is how to disable a stolen mobile phone, what you need to to is check your mobile phone's serial number, so you need to key the following digits on your phone *#06#  A 15 digit code will appear on your screen...this number is unique to your handset, write it down and when your phone gets nicked or lost you can phone your service provider and give them this code, they will then be able to block your handset so even if they put another Sim card into your phone it will be totally useless. You wont get your phone back , but at least you know that whoever stole your phone cant use/sell it either...If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones...
Another little tip, if your mobile battery is very low, key in *3370# your mobile will restart with the reserve and the phone will show 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
