Could the Extracta Scrubba Deluxe be used to agitate prespray? (mainly domestic at this point in time).

From what I've found on web it's a no but worth asking as I know of one for sale.

It would be a very physically demanding way to do the job, but being a rotating barrel brush it would certainly agitate without the vac hose attached.

I use one and yes, as suggested you can switch the vacs off and use it to agitate, and because there's no suction it's not difficult to manoeuvre... Is that the one on ebay? If it's in good nick it's cheap, but make sure it hasn't been dropped because as it's made of cast, they break!!!!

Robert it isn't a rotating barrel brush. They have a long thin brush across the width that goes back and forth.

I have two of them and used to use them all the time. I found I became more productive because I could miss a step out, as the aggitation and extraction happened in one step.

Geat tool. If you are using a porty and you want your cleaning to take a giant leap forward the scrubba is one way of acheiving that.

By the way the mini scrubba is the one for domestic.

Nevil, I have noticed (From your web site) that you do indeed utilise the "Scrubba Delux" Obviously you use yours with your TM.... Did you have any problems with the extra psi? I upped mine in the Exel from 100psi to 135psi with fantastic results, but I soon had to tighten up the connectors due to solution pi**ing out everywhere.

Actually in those pictures,  the porty was at the other end of the hoses.
I cant see the customers ever catching me out though.

When I use the porty and scrubba together I normally go at about 100 - 150 psi. Any more than that and you go through a lot more water for no tangable benifit. The use of a good prespray, heat and dwell time ( not that I am aiming to teach you to suck eggs ) is half the battle.

I am not a great fan of extracta porty machines. This has a lot to do with me spending a long chunk of my working life in the high tech end of the composites industry ( closed mould process ) . So when I see GRP products I can't help being critical. ( Unfair I know )

However I do beleive that there isn't a better powered extraction head available for use with portable machine anywhere. I would go as far as to say they are a must have item.

Thanks for your reply good neighbour.... I do get great results especially now I'm using prochem and Hydramaster chems.... Not saying Extracta chems aren't good whatsoever though, chances are it's probably all much the same stuff with different names on it Who knows :

But the "Scrubba" really does me proud and even if/when I upgrade my machine, I'll still have the "scrubba" at the working end!

I know you should never assume and that's what I did with this power brush. I've used a few power brushes over the years and incorrectly assumed the Extracta model to be rotational like the others. Except the aforementioned Rug Doctor.

I really should have known Colin having owned several Extracta's over the past 25 years. I've never read any negatives about this power brush, but must admit, I've never owned one.

The heaviest most cumbersome I ever owned was a 5 jet from Stimvac, think it was about 14 inches wide, but a bit of a monster which I eventually dumped.
